Wow, small world right enough!!

Yes, I've been many times to Lucca - it's a beautiful city. I love the shops and street cafes there. I have family in Barga vecchia (the old part at the top) where the Duomo is and also down in the 'Piangrande', where all the posh villas are.

How long have you been out there for? :)

Marco.

Hi John,

I know Pescaglia. Isn't there quite a nice little Trattoria there? There's some fantastic places to eat around where you are!

Hi John

Nice to see another Aussie on walkabout with a vintage TT fetish!

I'm a sydney-sider who's found himself in Dublin for the last 2 years or so and has been accumulating TT's like there's no tomorrow - 2 EMT's and a 301 at present. I blame it on the crappy weather...

Had a look at your DIY plinth as well. Really nice work.

Cheers
Adrian

Hi Adrian,
Yes Great to find another TT sick Aussie, mate , I’am from Brisbane a Queenslander , it’s more than 20 years that I’am in Tuscany , I have been back to Australia 8 times since then. so I'am updated .
I love turntables I have 7 or more , plus some rebuild projects on the way, I have a home workshop with some tools and DIY skills . I’am an export sales man for a big Cable manufacturing company in Italy.
I see you like big TT’s how you ganna bring them back to Aussie you need a container , I can supply you a container when you need it ,
I love to find an EMT to rebuild , that’s a project I have floating around, but for the moment I better just relax this winter and tune my new SP10 , just finished about 10 days ago after much study .
Plinths this is something I will experiment all different types of materials I’am working on wood & carbon arm boards at the moment , and bronze SME base plates and counterweights like the one on the black plinth ,
Thanks for your nice words about my plinths , this is always encouraging.
big UP's:cool:
John
Aussie man,
