New member saying hello.
Amazed by some of the systems you guys are running :) facinating subject and its been pretty interesting just looking at the gallerys.

I used to have what i thought was a decent system, ( well i loved it ) but i lived on a narrow boat for 6 years and had to sell everythign as i had no room to store it.

So my previous system was An Arcam 7, Arcam 8P Bi amped through mordant short ms25is.
Marantz CD52, Denon TU260. Project debut. Mostly all bought second hand, end of line or traded for, all sadly sold 7 years ago.

So not on the boat any more and trying to get some kind of a system together on next to no budget.

Im not running anything great but so far quite happy ( after 6 years of no system )

Not sure my Current rig adds much to the serch for audio nirvana but I supose it shows what you can get ultra cheep from charity shops or ebay :)


Tannoy M3 floorstanders, Denon DN-C100 cd player, 1980s Sony sts 212 amp. diy speaker cables, diy interconects, or at least will be when my Rca plugs turn up from china :) Diy " ugly stick" Fm antena.

Also coming to me is my parents old littlewoods catalogue record deck :) a spinny with A BSR turntable. Not Audiophile but im very happy to give it a home as I had no idea they had kept it, and its the first thing I ever heard music on, so it holds very happy memories,

Thanks for the welcome guys, Boating wiseIve been on the grand Union a few times, We were mored up in brum for 6 years.

Music wise... Everything. :)

My parents played alot of 60s 70s stuff. kinks, stones, beatles, Soul and motown, My did fished an old sony reciver amp out of a skip :)when i was about 8 and i used to listen to all kinds of music on late night radio.

I got in to Metal when I was about 12 then the early 90s goth and indie scene in... well the early 90s.
Got kinda bored with that when I heard Blue train for the first time, which sent me into Jazz, jazz funk...and around and around.

Im basical an emotive listner, I get in a mood where all I want to hear is say Blues for weeks, then ill hear some thing good acoustic and go on a folk kick for a few weeks. or Jazz or somethign else.

So easy these days though isnt it, think of a band, click a link and there ya go. Click another link and by the album.

The Track I seem to use most when as a refrence track when swaping stuff around or diying cables is Diamonds and pearls by Prince.
