I have for sale due to room changes a pair of Piega TP5 speakers.

A beautiful Swiss made speaker with two mid/bass drivers and a sweet ribbon tweeter. These have been in my system longer than any speaker i have ever owned, but a room change means i need a pair of speaker i can have hard up against a well (Naim speakers).
I cant remember how much these were when i bought them but they were around £3500. They are still made almost identical and are called Premium 5.2 and here's a link to the website http://www.piega.ch/en/products/premium/premium-5-2

Not sure on sale price but think they are easily worth £750plus postage, collection preferred from Dunblane or Edinburgh. Here they are in my house.

I've heard the TP5s in a familiar system on numerous occasions, and I can confirm that they sound fabulous, producing a surprisingly 'big' sound, considering their modest dimensions, especially in terms of low-end authority.

The top end is sweet as nut, but nicely extended and never draws adverse attention to itself. These are not 'shouty' or in yer face, like so many modern designs. The midrange is beautifully clear and lucid, communicating all the emotion, embedded in recordings by the artist.

In short, this is a very capable and musically rewarding pair of loudspeakers, at a ridiculously low price, considering their sonic prowess and the superb Swiss build quality. Aesthetically, I can also see them fitting in nicely with many modern decors.

My advice? Snap 'em up soon before someone cleverer than you does!! :exactly:

Marco.

Thanks for the kind words gents. They are a great speaker and I'm sorry to see them go but marital bliss is more important than speakers (so my wife tells me ).
Who ever buys them I'm sure will be blown away by there performance.

Nice one, Steve. Hope they've found a good home :)

Marco.

They're in my home Marco and I agree with you about the sweetness of the top end.

Needed to do a bit of fettling. They rocked (not ROCKED !!!) on my carpet, so I drilled and tapped M8 spikes to each corner of the bases to make them rigidly connected to my concrete floor. Now they ROCK !

Thanks Steve (carruthersesq), very pleased.
