i emailed him today with details of this place, i think he should be joining at some point!

he was saying last night he is pretty much furniture based but is very much into the idea of doing more hifi related stuff - espesially speakers!

Sounds good... The only problem is getting my huge 90kg (45kg each) Lockwoods down to Worcester for him to work on!

Maybe he could travel up to me and do the job in situ over a few days, whilst being suitably fed and watered? ;)

he did say 90% of his current work load was furnishing a house up north somewhere.. so maybe he would??

Marco

Oh, no rush. Whenever he's up for doing it :)

You've seen pics of my Lockwoods, yeah? Well basically, I want them re-veneered in something slightly more tasteful than their current 'rosewood-coloured' formica ;)

I'll take advice on whatever that might be! But it must be solid real wood, and quality, too.

Righty, for those who are interested.
I went for a drink with pete the other day, he said, he is still interested in getting involved in projects to do with hifi. He has been very busy if late with a large job, and is now in the process of moving into a different premisis - bigger, but shared was the jist I got from him. He doesn't know yet how this is going to effect his work flow so is tentative to take on more work whist he still has this big order!

Marco: he is indeed very interested in your project, he asked me to get some more details off you:
are there any curved surfaces?
What are the dimentions?
He said the job could range from very easy to near imposible depending on the material the cab is made off - so details of that?

He said he has revaneered all sorts of furniture before, most of what he does is antique furniture
