Hi there!
I'm just working my way around the site and thought I'd introduce myself.
I have a Cambridge Audio cd player which I bought in 1996 or 7, a pair of Ruark Epilogues which I bought in 1999, a Leak Stereo 20 (1964), which was rebuilt in the early 2000s by the electronics engineer I bought it from in 2004. It came with the Varislope preamp and umbilical connector but I replaced those for an NVA passive preamp with cermet pot. The Varislope is sitting redundant in a cupboard. Now that the kids have grown out of the stage of breaking anything nice they come across I have dug out my old Goldring GL75 which I bought second hand in 1989. I have just replaced the v blocks on the tone arm and am thinking about changing the AT95E cartridge which must be a quarter of a century old now. I also need a phono stage. I plan to build a new layered ply plinth for the Goldring. Oh, and I've just (yesterday) bought a pair of Linn Keilidhs. I need to do a bit of rerouting cables under the floor to get them hooked up. The Ruarks are pretty impressive for their size but I am hoping the Linns will be an improvement.
Among many other things, I listen to the Pixies, Stones, John Martyn, REM and the Clash.
Cheers
Simon
