Hi,
I use my Beresford Caiman+ SE primarily for listening music on the headphone, and the Caiman does a very nice job with that.
But I'm a little bit frustrated with the sync/lock ticks I hear and was thinking off changing my Caiman+ SE to a Caiman MKII, which is much faster and should not have that problem.
From what I red, the MKII must be a big improvement, specs wise for sure.
But what worries me a bit is the headphone amplifier from the MKII.
The Caiman has a class A headphone amplifier and the MKII has a AB headphone amplifier.
From my experience with amplifiers I prefer much more a class A circuit then a AB.
I'm very picky about the transparency and space/room in the sound.
Did someone make compares between the two DAC's?
Sadly there isn't an place close where I can try and listen to one, so in the first place I must have it from reviews and user experiences.
And are there already pictures from the inside of the MK2?
(Always curious how things look like from the inside ;))
Hope someone can tell me more :)
Oh yes, I almost forgot to mention, the USB isn't interesting for me, I only use the coaxial input.
(Sorry English isn't my native language, but I hope it's understandable)
