As per title I have an Art Audio Quintet MK1 amp and BTE Passive pre for sale. I've had these for a couple of months and have to sell due to an unexpected change in circumstance! Having owned lots of amplifiers, I have to say that this is up there with the best of them, for relatively little money. It's sweet, open, detailed and punchy. Amazing from just 15 (or thereabouts) watts!
It's fixed in triode mode having had the ability to switch to pentode removed. It also has a dial on the back to set feedback, although I've never played with that tbh. It has worked flawlessly since I've had it too. It's also quiet for a valve amp.
It's built really well, with Tom Watson of Art Audio, hand winding his own transformers I believe. When I got it it had an unmatched set of EL34's. I still have those and are included, but I bought a brand new set of Genelex Gold Lion KT77's from Hot Rox which are probably not even run in yet. These transformed it for me and made it much more exciting to listen to.
The BTE Designed passive pre is the 10k stepped attenuater version, with Walnut trim. It's the two input version. It retailed for about £130 I believe. This has a very slight scratch on the Perspex lid. It sounds really good (if a passive can sound anything) and adds very little to the mix.
So together I would like around £795 collected as I have no box. Or £745 for the amp alone. Offers close to this would be acceptable, just PM or post on here.
Thanks for looking..

This is the scratch, sorry about the picture. It's actually not as bad as it looks...
