View Full Version : cartridge loading plugs of different values?
Can you get these?
Interested in trying different values.
Have 100ohm in at the moment, reviews of my cart say different values are best.
Ta.
Think you just fire resistors into a pair of RCA plugs with sockets on the other end Garry.
Probably better off replacing the resistors in the phono amp though, easy enough and buttons to buy.

Think Scott Nagle sell them.

I can swap the resistors for you mate.
Think Scott Nagle sell them.
Aye good shout Grant, forgot about Scott selling those.
Sweet, might be easier to give Scott a shout than faff about with resistors.
Alan's phonostage works by just plugging in an RCA plug with a resistor wired to it.
Just feeling the need to tweak :)
Thanks Ali.

Ah, you already have a plug-in option, that's what I'd have modded yours to do.
Worth trying some decent resistors for this perhaps, once you find the value you like.

Just a quick point point Gaz/Ali.
The supplied loading plugs have a 100 ohm resistor plus a parallel 1 nanoFarad capacitor fitted.
:) Alan
