Ignore the 'do not open' on the back (power off only!) and give us a shot of the inside.
............OK it's because I'm nosey and inquisitive.

Oh, wow! Great amp. I mean really really good!
Not for those who like to doze off to the music, this is a lively, dynamic and detailed sound.
Hi Grant - I just started thinking about the POWER thing...
Any suggestions as to any kind of bargain pre-amp with a phono stage that might work nicely with this for me? [alsoTD150/2]
I am idly looking at a QUAD 44 on ebay.
Cheers - R.

If you don't mind me jumping in ..... I have the AM100 version of this lovely power amp and I run it with a Croft Basic Pre ( £300 new ) which to my mind is one of the true hifi bargaind out there --- and the combo is great ----- if you are lucky enough to get a used one then you've a great amp set up - and even new you are looking at £450 combined for a top top amp section IMHO
recommend the power --- GLWYS Grant
cheers lads..its a great bit of kit but i have 3 at moment so thought id sell one. as forca good pre then yes a croft will be super or a quad 34 would likely be got for easy money too. it worked well with everything ive used it with including my clone valve job.
the atoll is a powerful gal

Um, can't see the 2 toroidal transformers. Is it me?
yeah I took it from their web site so I take it either its for the bigger one or they changed the design... still its a stonking big trannie that takes up over a third of the box
edit.. looking through their site i think its just been an update as theve been making this model for some time.
I will bump this and see if anyone wants it...then well ive tried i can tell my concience

Have you really got three of them?
Photo please.
:)
3 power amps; not all Atoll though. got a WAD kel84 and a Cabmbridge p500
Got £120 for my P500 on Fleabay Grant, nearly enough to get your Atoll, good with Croft they say.... :hmm:

Ah I get it.
I thought you had three Atolls...
Sadly very low WAF on this, though am slightly tempted if I can figure out how to hide it.
Daft question I know, but how is this going to sound next to a Quad 405?

An original Mk1 405?
Much clearer - more detailed and dynamic.
It should sound like an opened window.
The Atoll is a vastly superior amp, imo.
one last bump for now...............£160 inc P&P
I'll bump it for you, just to be neighborly. Feel free to make a positive comment on my listing, Grant! I o I.
cheers Robert..no one seems interested so I will put it back into storage. too good to give away any cheaper tbh.
