Just bought some of Mark Grant's 6mm hi-fi speaker cable and the difference over the blue is quite significant. I changed my stance on over priced cables a few years back and rightly so. I recently had the chance to borrow a pair of the Chord Companies top cable and soon removed it in favour of my cheapo VD 6mm blue the same with a pair of Kimber Mono Crystal jobbies. The latest incarnation of the Van Damme cable just work much better in my system giving a slightly fuller sound. Check it out. It gets my thumbs up.:)
Been using VD Studio Blue for years, love it and spent the rest of my cash on music instead of foo cables :)

Good for you, doesn't mean the other stuff isn't better though. ;)

No it doesn't. But what i have found to my own expense is that cable is better or worse depending on it's application and not merely on it's price. was once told my another AOS member on a visit to his home that he discovered that dealers make a hell of a lot of money on cables and he was using VD blue on his £10K Ushers. Different strokes and all that. My point here is that VD's Hi-Fi cable is a significant improvement in my main system than the blue.

Also using Van Damme hi-fi series 6mm with my nCore monoblocks, short 1m run. Great value for a lot of copper...

Blue too.
Ran biwired "Tour Grade" VD black a few years back, found it even better than the blue.
*edit*
Found Mogami star quad biwire cable to be just as good or better with my old AE speakers.
With my current speakers though best Ive found is braided Cat5 cable.
Its not suitable for every speaker due to its impedance though.
+1 I've gone with the VD HiFi cables too. Biwired 6mm and 2.5mm in the main system, and 2.5mm single wired in the second system. Works for me.
