All working except the Sony tape corder , it may work but I don't have the mains plug for it so may need 2 direct wire it inside

By far the best 2 are the Otari and the Revox

Oh what fun :D slightly hypnotic watching the reel go round and round and round and round and round :eyebrows:

Yes I have MRL tapes for IEC 7.5 & 15 ips

That looks like a pretty late model A77, what condition is that in?, have you done any work on it like a recap ?.

When I bought mine the capstan motor would not turn so I spent a bit of time trying to find the fault even bought a second motor but to no avail.
I changed the big Rifa motor control caps and the bridge rectifier on the motor control board along associated with the Capstan motor and the bulb for the end of tape switch and it still didn't work :scratch:.
The Frako caps in all Revox machines are well known for failure so I started looking at any that could effect the tape switching control and noticed the 3 on the main switch board C306, C307 & C301 were a bit leaky so I changed them and the capstan motor sparked into life :).
That was just the start of it though as it worked but sounded pants and levels were all over the place.
Since then when I have had some spare time I have been replacing all Frako electrolytic & Tantalum caps and trim pots on the plug in boards and each time it gets better and better, I did a basic calibration on it and it records and plays back now and levels are better but still not ideal
Still not finished as I still have some of the power supply boards to do and its just a fall back job when I get time
