These are sat in the spare room... which is such a shame considering what a fantastic pair of speakers they are, both to look at and most importantly, when conveying music. Grills and all drivers are unmarked and the mahogany exteriors are almost immaculate.

Full spec can be found on the ProAc website here (http://www.proac-loudspeakers.com/html_files/Speakers.php?Range=Studio&Speaker=Studio140Mk2) and these appear to retail new for between £1650-£1700 and second hand between £1000 and £1200. Original boxes & instructions are included plus I'll throw in a pair of free 2m Mark Grant vanDamme Black bi-wire speaker cables too...

Looking for sensible offers around £950... I'd also be interested in their exchange value with any dealers here. I'm not really looking for anything in particular, but I'm always open to suggestions :)

I would also rather they be collection from Surrey/CR5... but they can be securely packed in their original boxes so you can arrange your own courier to collect. I'm off work all this week, so there are windows of opportunity to collect and have them with you and working by the weekend.... go on, you know it makes sense ;)

Any interest in these speakers (not the ties :) ) ? Perhaps our dealer members would be kind enough to comment if these are priced too keenly?

I think it's a fair price Pete. You could drop it until someone bites or take a reasonable ONO though, but there's no point in giving them away. I owned a pair of these in Mk1 guise and they really can boogie :carrot:

I've seen these at dealers ex-dem or good used in Mk2 for £1200, so I'd hold out. It just seems a bit slow for anything that isn't vintage and cheap at the moment but someone out there will be looking for a pair of these.

Thanks Paul... appreciate the feedback. As you can tell, the 4311's have deposed these, which is no mean feat given how good the ProAc's are :)

I had a pair of MK1s too Pete, great speakers. Mine went to a guy in France (wammer) for £750 I think plus about £70 postage, they were minters, I bought them for about the same price from a wammer.

Cheers Tony... the guy on PFM is still interested, but as is the case with most of us, he needs to offload some kit before being able to buy... In the meantime, I still think that sensible offers around £950 mean this is a good deal for somebody out there. In fact, I wouldn't be bumping this if it wasn't for me wanting to do a bit of business too :)

Hi Pete, I think the price that you are asking is fair mate, I've not heard the MK2s but the MK1s were very good speakers, big problem is the size and weight of them for posting etc but I used Transglobal who are very very good and reasonable too.

Cheers Tony... they weigh around 20kgs each speaker unboxed, so I'd imagine that'll be no more than 25kgs each when fully boxed in their original ProAc packing boxes... so shipping should be around £30 to £40 with suitable insurance. The guy on PFM is looking at a friend collecting them for him, which is even better, so fingers crossed :)
