View Full Version : DIY built Audio Note AN-S2L SUT

For sale a SUT built by Valvebloke(Ampregen) and bought of montesquieu last year. These contain exactly the same transformers as the AN built one as can be seen in the photos below.

Below is a extract from his advert on this very forum.

Has been rewired and switches added to give the extra settings (by Valvebloke at Ampregen) - circuit diagram included. Graeme also fitted an ingenious bypass switch to enable MM cartridges to be used on the same arm without re-plugging interconnects - very handy (and was designed not to interfere with the loading).

I am looking for £210 inc UK postage reduced from £250 which is what I paid for it although demo and collection in North London is a option.

This was a lovely thing, at the time I had 3 SUTs and one on the way, but I've have kept this if I could as it was very nice indeed!

Works on the lowest setting with an Io, so if you ever fancied trying one but the SUT was a barrier, then get this and stash it away ....

Bank Holiday discount, 10% off with a wait of three months whilst we consider going into liquidation whilst you wait for your SUT to be built. Only available in a out of town dump called a retail park.

Or £225 for those who don't get the joke. ;-)

Hi, what are the two ratios? Does the Hi+10r make it suitable for use with 12 Ohm, 0.35mV cartridges?

Hi Soulman, sorry for late response to your question. I used it with a Transfiguration Temper and Lyra Argo with success which are low output and around 6-8 ohm I believe.

From Audio Note the best I can find is in the following link although I suspect if you emailed them they would be able to provide more info.

It'll be fine with 12 ohm on the high setting without the extra resistor.
