I believe these are JPW Sonata's but can't be 100% certain.

Dimensions 320 x 230 x 215.

The veneer is quite sun bleached and there are a number of scratches on the left hand side of one of the speakers, 2 of the corners have been dented (as illustrated) and there's a small hole in one of the grilles. Otherwise pretty decent condition, good working order.

Asking £25.00 collected, £35.00 delivered.

Serial Number: 0018286.

Yup, They are defo Sonata's:D I bought a pair for my dad many years ago. I couldn't believe how good they sounded. When he pegged it I got them. Sadly when I was "testing" something (I could give clues, but it would be embarrassing ) I blew one up. Great bang for the buck these are.

I use wee little JPW ML-110i which sound very decent. These will no doubt sound good!

Thanks for the confirmation Rob :).

To be honest I've been through a few book shelves lately and these were my least favorite (how's that for sales patter?), maybe leaning too far towards neutral for me, I found them a bit clinical. They're for the repair bench so are used for testing and background music not critical listening by any means, I settled on some MS20i's.

Yes, the ML-110i are revealing little buggers :)

Do you personally find the Sonata more musical?

I've never heard the ML-110i, I was referring to the Sonata's not ML-110i :).

They way i am reading it Darren said they were shite!!! diplomatically (least favourite), too neutral generally means ''boring'' so not musical.

I just don't get what people like about these speakers, they don't do it for me, that's why they're up for sale :).

I thought negative comments in sales thread were now strictly against the rules

I have a vinyl wrap version of these that I bought a few weeks ago. I've not really had chance to listen to them properly and they are on the end of a T-amp and Blu-Ray player for use while watching films. I should give them a listen in a better system really. I'm actually looking for a pair in walnut veneer but I'll have to wait as they don't seem to come up too often.

I wondered what had happened, didn't know if you'd been moderated? I left it in because I thought it was funny and you're right I do find them boring , if nothing else it's an honest sales thread.

No interest for this pair of sun bleached, boring old speakers then ?:D

I would be interested and I haven't totally ruled them out because real wood veneer would be nicer than the vinyl version that I have, but I keep asking myself if I really need another pair.

Let me know if you decide you want them Paul, it looks like they're going back into storage for now :)

Thanks Darren,

If I wasn't saving as much as possible for a new amp/holiday spending money at the moment I probably would have had them. I'll let you know if I get enough extra cash.
