Hi there,

I would like to introduce myself - my name is Lionel and I live in Leeds ( and yes, for my past sins, I am a LUFC fan). I got into this hobby about 25 years ago and since, have only had one lengthy spell where I wasn't box swapping on a regular basis. I've recently been introduced to the wonderful sound of valves but I am definitely still on the fence as far as changing my AVI S21 Lab Series integrated solid state amp.
I look forward to making the acquaintance of some of you and hopefully being able to offer as well as receive some sound (please forgive the pun) advice.

Kind regards,

Lionel

Welcome Lionel. Leeds have some good fans as well as bad like any club. Glad to hear(pun intended) youve been introduced to valve sound:eyebrows:
not the be-all but sweet all the same. What kind of music do you listen to?
...maybe you will put some pics into the gallery of your system when you have time..just open a thread

Welcome to AoS Lionel.

No need to 'side' with any camp: there are good amplifiers that are either valves or solid state designs (or both!). it all comes down to what sounds good to you.

What kind of music do you enjoy listening to?

Welcome again - enjoy the Forum.

Regards
Barry

Thanks for the welcome guys.
In answer to Grant, I have quite an eclectic taste in music but I have a big interest in 80's Indie/Goth/Punk and I still enjoy the odd gig or two. Looking forward to seeing Spear Of Destiny tomorrow night with Spizzenergi in support.
