just bought last night Mordaunt short Pageant 2 speakers same owner 40 years excellent condition and seller was just 4 miles away paid £80 for them sound amazing with my nad 3020e amp and technics PD4 CD player ! Many thanks to Geoff on here for all the help and advice these truly are the best sounding speakers I've heard for my electronic music I like ie kraftwerk omd etc pictures here

I've still got my Pageant 2's. But now wish I hadn't had them re-capped.

I preferred mines with the original caps. Infact I've still got them!!

Back in the day, I always set the mid to + and the top to - ... Not sure if this still applies, but can you give it a go and report back? If you're very careful, check the driver screws for tightness as on all old speakers, these can loosen off a bit.

I wouldn't mind having the switches bypassed on mines.

i had mine recapped by paul (rfc) and that really made a difference,defiantly worth doing imo.
unfortunately they are not used much as i bought some klh 23's, another of geoff's great recommendations!
