I haven't bothered with a photo of the Squeezebox or the Rotel 965BX.

Amplifier

Ella PP with original brown wooden facia and KT6550's...

...but I changed the facia to black metal plate and EL34's were fitted when I took this photograh

This is the inside of the Ella when it was finished. It doesn't look like this now because I've done a number
of upgrades....choke, black-gates, coupling caps, schottky diodes, no volume pot etc.

This is the board with the wima's removed and replaced by dynamicaps

Loudspeakers

One KLS3 (tall one on the right) and one neofone wide-range unit in a BR cabinet on the left.

The KLS3's are the main speakers I'm using, the neofone was an experiment that I've also tried in a BiB. Nothing beats the KLS3's so far.

The neofone driver is about the size of a CD.

KLS3's with grille

and without grille

How are your tweeters bearing up?

That Ella amp looks very simple. You know the next step - do a Crofty and hard-wire everything, losing the circuit board ...

Hmm difference would be marginal at best I think. Not really worth the trouble IMHO.

The treble units are fine. If they fail I'll put the standard ones in from the KLS3 MK I.

I've thought about hard-wiring but it sounds very good as is so I don't really want to bother. There are no more upgrades I want to do that need me to remove the board.
