Just wondering if anyone has any experience of using the aftermarket styli replacements for the AT110E?

NOS is going to cost me £35 but I can get an aftermarket one for £13.

For the length of time it will last you vs. cost why take the chance?

If it sounds cheap, it probably is. Avoid. As a general rule of thumb, you get what you pay for and if you pay nothing, you'll get nothing.

The AT110e would be the thick end of sixty quid now I reckon. £35 for a proper replacement is a fair price I think - and not sure how long they'll be made for either, as the AT120e II has sort-of replaced it at £75 or so (the pukka 120e has a better stylus).

Why buy a cheap copy of indeterminate quality to save just £22 ?

Hence why I ask if anyone has any actual anecdotal experience of the aftermarket stylus. Change your question around, why not save £22 if the stylus is as good enough. As much as I'd love to have an unlimited supply of disposable income, this is just not the case.

That is the problem. If you don't have a limited supply of disposable income, why take the risk on the unknown element.

Let me ask you a question, are you happy with the sound you have now? If so, why change it?
I can't answer your original question, but I will be interested to know what you think of the cheaper replacement if you decide to go that route.
