FS: Beard P35ii el84 valve power amp

As previously owned and much-TLCed by Paul formerly known as Sodders on the Wigwam and now a super-nice dealer chappie known as Evolution Audio :)

I recently obtained this in a swap deal, and despite me loving it dearly, I prefer my speakers with a large chunk of solid state up 'em.

6 (count 'em) mil spec Russian EL84 output valves per channel supplying 35wpc, and 2 12AT7 input valves.

Auto-bias, so no fiddling required with multimeters etc if you roll the el84 valves.

Works and looks fab - slightly loose input sockets (RCA) which probably require facility with a soldering iron to sort - but the connections themselves are rock solid - not an issue imho.

Included in the sale are 3 pairs of 12AT7 / ecc81 .... Mullard, TAD and Siemens. All a bit different sounding for variations on a theme. Paul preferred the Mullards to any others he tried.

Thanks folks - Yep, it sounds genuinely excellent - it just can't get to grips properly with the middling to low efficiency speakers that I have. Give it something 90dB/W+ to chew on and it would be fab, I reckon.

Well, I do remember, and it did. Brilliant, in fact.

£600 is a bargain IMHO.

Not surprised, fab price on this Jerry. Superb with Tannoys, Justin brought his integrated vesion of this over and it was top notch with the HPDs.
