I am selling my Beresford Caiman Mk I DAC that I bought off Vinylspinner back in January this year.

This has been upgraded to the Gatorised version and had other mods done as well.

Modifications:

Elna Silmic II caps installed on main boards.
Standard voltage regulators replaced with Dexa discretes.
Large 16volt capacitor replaced with two Panasonic 100v poly caps.
Gator board with full Silmic cap upgrade.
AD826 opamp for headphone circuit.

(details courtesy of Vinylspinner)

I have had this connected to my Squeezebox Touch via a 5 mtr optical cable which was positioned at the other side of the room to my set-up. I also had a 5 mtr USB cable plugged in to connect my laptop for very occasional use.

Due to a complete front room renovation I no longer have my SBT the other side of the room and now connect it directly to my amp, so now I have no further use of a DAC.

This is a very fine piece of equipment, in perfect working order, and comes complete with original packaging and PSU.

I am looking to get back exactly what I paid for it - £85

P & P at cost.

Thanks for looking.

Cheers

Dave

Now sold to Steve STP as per usual.

As Nigel says it is a top little DAC but now surplus to requirements so deserves to go to a good home rather than gather dust.

Thanks Nigel,
I want it to use with my Mac laptop with near-field active monitors to listen to (mainly) my classical guitar music files.
I had been using the headphones socket as an output ... Aaargh! ... horrendous!
Cheers,
Steve
