... i feel very, very uncomfortabe about the line "we are going to need some good men to avenge this" at the end of the "world trade centre" film.
personally i find that one line turns the whole film into a peice of propaganda and i think that cheepens it...

Hamish, I made exactly the same comment to my wife as well.
Given that the film concentrated on the effect to a few men and their families it seemed to be a poor decision to talk about revenge right at the end.
'Why' would have been a better thing to ask.

Agreed! Or just not have that sceen altogether! Me and my lady were only really half watching it - it is quite a simple story with quite a simple point. Up until that bit at the end me and hannah were saying things like "hmm I think they made it too early" and "I can see the point in it though, I premotes American family values, patriotism, the capable common man as a hero, Christian values"
then that bit happened at the end, both of us looked at each other stunned! in the end though we did agree that it was promotion of just more American values ... Just the really bad ones!! I wonder if there was any political resonaor indeed pressure behind that comment? It didn't fit with the rest of the film at all so I personnaly woulndt be supprised if there was!!
There is so much supposedly scientific spin on the whole events of that day available that I don't think we'll ever know the real truth in our lifetimes..
... i feel very, very uncomfortabe about the line "we are going to need some good men to avenge this" .
"Or, failing that, we'll just invade some random countries"
