RCA cable ?

+1 for Klotz MC5000 . Their AC110 is also very good ( and a bit cheaper . ) Both are available from Studiospares .

off the wall suggestion would be 0.5mm magnet wire .....the lacquered variety ...twist two together strip back enough of the insulation and solder ...this will beat any coaxial type at any price [imo].... plus side also is it pennies ..down side is if your in a very dirty [emi wise] environment ...

or plait three together creating either pseudo earth or full earth .......essentially this means the only cost is with your choice of plugs

& Just to wind the pudding heads up i use two Mayware 5 Din to RCA adaptors

All sounds ok to me but i don't have imaginary hearing ;)

The Van Damme is working for me.

I have tried microphone cable like the MC5000 and it was ok and better than some shop bought leads.
I might dig out some I have burried in my sports bag of old leads to campare with the VD.
I always think it is more suited to balanced connections, using a seperate shield to the return signal.
With RCA connections you need to connect one end (only) of the shield to the return which usually grounds on the chassey. This seems to defeat the principle for me as the shield and return are joined together so may as well be the same wire. Or are folks joining both the inner conductors together for the signal and using the braided shield for the return? :scratch:

Couldn't find the Klotz cable, but found an IMG stage line MLC-152.
Basic difference is the Klotz has a double bare copper shield, the stage line has a single Silver plated copper shield.

This cable is in use as I write, it has a better top end without the harshness I found in the RG316/U cable I made, but it is less focused in the bass, noticable in Johnny Cash vocal when he drops very low on "Rusty Cage" its smoothed out/smeered.
All on my gear of course YMMV.
