I have for sale what I THINK are pure silver interconnects. I have owned these interconnects for years and they were purchased from this site: http://www.decware.com/newsite/homepage.html

I purchased a Decware SE84 valve amp many years ago and at the same time purchased these interconnects. I THINK these are pure silver but I am not guaranteeing that. I also believe they have silver plated plugs but again I am not guaranteeing that. Sorry for being so vague but I just can't remember. I do remember that these interconnects were quite pricey at the time of purchase and that they sound superb

The interconnect measures 99cm tip-to-tip and they are quite thin, only measuring about 3mm

I am asking £40 + postage which, if they are pure silver, is a bargain but please be aware that they may not be silver

I am open to offers on these as they are surplus to my needs but please make sure you know that these may NOT be silver, and silver plated, as stated

Also looks like the ptfe coated silver plated copper used in NVA ls speaker wire.

silver plated copper ptfe ...hook up wire in my opinion got several rolls of the stuff ...easy to check remove the rca cover and look at the conductors ....if conductors are showing use a stanley blade and carefully scrape the metal ..using magnifying glass look for tell tale pink of fresh copper ....

Thanks for the tip Pete. I will take a look and find out if they show any copper ;)

Unfortunately it is impossible to tell if it is pure silver or silver plated as there is no room to see the conductors, they are just too well made and no bare conductor is showing

I have emailed Decware to find out if these are silver or not ;)

Hi Bev.

Just put them round your neck. If they feel like jewellery, they're silver! :D

Price drop to £30 including postage... these are a bargain at that price... even if they are not pure silver (which they might be!!) you will not buy a better sounding interconnect for £30.. ;)

Nothing wrong with good spares, I just repurposed some old Van Den Hul cables that I had thought about selling, and am now glad I didn't.

So, what they are made of is not that important, what do they sound like? That's the main selling point of a wire! How would you describe the sound? As compared to other more popular cables you may own? That's the fun of selling stuff, you get to be a reviewer for a moment!

To be honest Russell I haven't used them for so long that I forget exactly what they sound like as I haven't compared them to other cables. However I used them as my only interconnect for ages and was very happy with them. When I purchased them new they sold for $99 and that was many years ago so I'd guess they would sell for a bit more now

I just want to clear anything I have not used for a while and at £25 delivered they are a bargain...;)

Thanks Andrew for the offer but I am not in need of any mains cable as I use Mark Grant DSP cables which are superb :)
