Hello,

My name is Andy, I have had a rig up and running for several years. I am a budget audiophile running Odyssey audio ams, audio mirror t-61 pre, a pair of Chapman Audio System t-8 speakers with audio purist wires. I mostly buy from estate sales and auctions. Listen to mostly Jazz and Blues, but love music in general.

I am currently trying to get into my first analogue front end and have a Townshend Rock MK III turntable and cant seem to find a tonearm/cart/wire combo that I can afford and can fit the rock.

In search of a used Audiomods arm or other suggestions.

Thanks for letting me join the forum.

Cheers

Hello Andy. Welcome to AOS.

Apart from the Townshend turntable, I'm not familiar with your equipment. Why not post some pictures in our Gallery section, they'd be appreciated.

The Rock is a good unit. A variety of arms can be used with it. Regas are popular.

Enjoy the forum,
Geoff.

The Odyssey amp is great. I am not sure it would be easy to match the build quality and the sound for the money. Based on the Symphonic Line board and sourced with quality parts, they are a bargain. At one time Klause at Odyssey use to run Chapman speakers before someone walked off with them and Steward from Chapman used Odyssey Gear too. They pair well. I plan to upgrade the preamp at some point, but the t-61 sounds pretty nice. Would like to find a nice tube pre that has a good phono stage, but that may not be in my budget for a long while. My little rega fono will have to work for now.

This is the best I could do on the room pic. My phone is not nearly as limited as I am.
