Hi everyone,
Signed up so I can keep track of threads. I've recently gone from a Denon HiFi system to standalone components as I've caught the vinyl bug. Started of with a sony tower (which is now at my dad's) which was followed by a Denon DP30L. My dad offered me a TD160 for my 21st (!).
I've now hooked that up to a technics SU-A900 amp (with phono stage) which is powering 2 Wharfedale SP-85 floorstanders. I've also bought some JPW AP2s which need refoaming, which will either replace the wharfedales or I may decide to set them up in quad though that seems overkill. I also have a chinese tube pre-amp but with the associated hum I've decided to not use it for now.
Figured I'm sorted for the next few years though I keep discovering small ways to improve my system. I've gone the vintage/second hand route which has been pretty effective so far and also the reason this has been possible. I'll be putting a post up of my system in the exhibitions and look forward to going further down the hi-fi road (or drooling over high-end equipment).
