I recently upgraded the internal wiring in my Monitor Audio RX8s with TQ Blue in the rear pair and TQ Ultra Blue in the centre and front speakers well worth it they sounded great before but sound considerably better now . I thought I would tweek and play with the speakers before I replaced the speakers but I'm now in no rush to replace them at all. I have also put Stillpoint ultra SS's under the front pair of speakers but thats a whole other story

That's the ticket Trev. Looks mighty fine system you've got there. Yes why dont you start your own blog in the Gallery. It'll get lots of coverage by the members, especially if you keep it up to date.

Stunning!

I've had the RX8's (all be it in gloss black) and have to say that I thought they were some of the best sub £1k speakers I've ever heard... Just need to be partnered right with the likes of Arcam, NAD or Cyrus etc...

Wish I had the balls to fiddle with the internal workings of speakers!

Have to agree with you Dan regarding the RX8 being a very good speaker if matched well I had got to the stage where on paper the speakers were the next weak link but they still sounded good(and they look /suite my room so well appearance wise) so instead of upgrading them for new speakers I decided b4 I did that I would fiddle with and upgrade the existing speakers to see just what can be achieved so a friend soldered in new TQ speaker cable for me on allfour of them (used blue in the rears and ultra blue in the fronts i wanted to use TQ Black but it wouldnt solder which we discovered the hard way:doh: )
I actually only paid £700 for each set new(5yrs ago) but I have now spent more than that on them what with cable upgrade stillpoints and the vibbeater ontop but im not in any rush atall to get rid of them they are now punching seriously above their weight. I couldn't be happier

Cheers
