STUPID PRICES! These plinths don't do much more than the Moldovan plinth I bought from eBay. You can buy good quality feet from eBay and if you want an isolated Tonearm pod buy one from Speedy Steve. The Artisan Fidelity plinths do decouple the Garrard 301 motor but this is quite easy to implement on the moldovan plinth. The quality of the Moldovan plinth is just as good and you dont pay stupid import taxes. I'd like to hear any of any other feature that the Artisan plinth has that can't be replicated on a standard birch ply plinth. Why do people have to charge such stupid prices?:please:

They are High but how do you know how much work has gone into that flawless finish? Tis an extremely high quality product & finish which is very very hard to match imho..I have an eye for perfection others don't seem to see or care for..

I have no idea how much time has gone into one of these and TBH I dont care. I buy a plinth to improve my decks performance. My plinth has an excellent finish I dont think it could be bettered.

When you design something yourself you deserve to attach any price tag you wish. When things are Bespoke/Hand made they take a lot of time & effort {No mass production that makes a product cheap}..Time = money = High quality product. It's a bespoke product that has it own character, you like it you want it you pay what they want, you like it you don't wanna pay you go without.

I have no issue with something costing a specific amount of money, bespoke or not. I have issues with people jumping on a band wagon and then charging stupid levels of money. I have no issues with these stupidly expensive plinths, they are nice and I could easily afford to buy one, I just choose not to spend silly amounts on a plinth that can be made far cheaper in this country and with all its design features. I appreciate you have an intimate knowledge of all aspects of plinth building and an excellent eye for detail but at the end of the day I couldn't give a hoot!!!! I still think my plinth's finish is just as good as the ones advertised so :ner:.

Quite nice, mate, but a little 'drab' in appearance... Also, I'm not convinced that solely slate is the way to go with a plinth. I'd rather use it in conjunction with an attractive looking hardwood, as part of creating a 'sandwich effect' :)

I'm sure the plinths are both performance and aesthetic based

For example, my crossovers are made with performance at the zenith but are not cheap. They are designed and made care, honesty and I will sing (and have already done) the praises of everyone who helped me with them. Although gone un-noticed in this world of craziness.

I really don't get much back in profit and they are certainly not going to make me rich... It was never the intention, I just enjoy making them.

Some say I'm too 'nice' for business... :) - Hey-Ho!
