Arcam advice please

Would an Arcam alpha 7 CD player be a good match with an arcam 8 amp ? If so what speakers would be ideal to go with this amp and cd for classical and pop music thankyou for your help

The answer is a resounding yes. The Alph 8 amp is also a far more powerful amp than it's specs suggest. Speakers are a very personal thing and depends on you taste in music and sonic preference. As a good all round sound with Arcam equipment of yore especially the Alpha range i would suggest sounding out my old die hard faves by Ruark. The Templar or even better a pair of Talisman II's.

I have atacama nexus stands so would love speakers to go on them but don't listen to rock music

Yes they would work though i am unsure whether you would get scale for larger orchestral works.
