Sonos Connect vs Raspberry Pi with IQaudIO DAC

I've been using the Sonos Connect for some time now and have been very happy with it. Following Marco's thread about the R-Pi, I have purchased one and just now waiting for the IQaudIO DAC to come back into stock before assembling.
The trouble is, after failing to set up EAC yesterday with FLAC, I'm now worried the R-Pi will be beyond me and may be best to stick with the Sonos.

Has anyone done the Sonos vs R-Pi IQaudIO head to head?

Blimey Bill, you throw the towel in early - EAC is actually very simple if you follow the instructions, there are dozens of them around. Guess it's a modern trait, nobody wants to read the manual anymore and run before they can walk!

Part of the fun is learning something new isn't it? :scratch:

Just get dBpoweramp it's just as good as EAC and easier to use.
