Technics SL1210 or 1200 wanted in stock form and in excellent condition as a second deck, obviously not one that has been hammered by a DJ. I would expect to pay between 10 and 15 % less than it would probably fetch on Ebay.

eBay prices are very unpredictable - a brand new boxed one went for £500 very recently (probably should have gone for it) but another day it might have fetched quite a lot more. Two days ago a really nice one went for £320 BIN and I was just minutes late. It was probably a bit underpriced. So I suppose £400 is achievable if it's really good, maybe a bit more. But with most things on EBay there are erratic swings. A Mission 774 tonearm went for around £370 a few days ago and I'm sure he bought it together with a turntable a week before for about £200 - probably ended with a profit of £350 on a £200 outlay.

I've got a 1210 mk2 for sale. It was used for home DJ (whatever that is) before I had it and has a couple of scratches on the left side of the casing but works perfectly and is in pretty good nick otherwise. You'll need to collect though.

Hi Geoff,
Many thanks for the offer - it's the sort of thing I have in mind but I'm too far away (Eastbourne) and I'd obviously like to see it in the flesh.
