hi, just put these two little IRS2092's into a test rig and i think they sound surprisingly good considering the cost of 26$ shipped from hong kong ![emoji50]
ok, the psu was 60$ [emoji56]

Just a quick update. I got a pair of LJM L15D Pro amp boards from eBay and hooked them up to the same 300W connexelectronic.com SMPS. These boards are a step up from the ones described in my previous post I think but the share the same chip.

They are getting a stream from a Raspberry Pi / Sabre DAC fead to a StereoCoffee LDR attenuator (with updated control board from Chris) into a pair of KEFLS50's. I am stoked at how good this is sounding. Before reintroducing the SC-LDR into the chain, I had a BTR attenuator with a ALPS 50k potentiometer and thing where sounding great but with a flatter sound stage than with the SCLDR. I love large sound stages, so I'm really happy with what I'm hearing. Thank's Chris for the new board !!

I will eventually clean up the (cable) mess, and add a better PS to the Stereo Coffee LDR pre,,, promised ;-)

Update: I swapped the switching power supply out for a linear ps with a fat 300va transformer. Final voltage into the boards is around 53vdc per channel. The SQ is super punchy and transparent .. Quite incredible how deep the bass goes with songs from Lorde for example. These little boards are driving the KEF's with total authority .. Really surprising what I'm hearing.. The hardly get hot even when pushed to about 75% for hours like the other evening when we had a little party at the house ;-) not bad from a pair of sub 50$ boards ! a guy called ljm designed them btw

Still haven't had time to clean up the cables but I will be putting these amps in a dedicated case for sure.

Looks like a nice job :eyebrows:
Those amps are Class D so they benefit by keeping speaker and power supply caples within the case as short as possibe and tightly twisted als dont cross signal over speaker cable.
I have a couple of boards like them somewhere and they look amaizing value for money but I haven tried them yet.
Class D amps usually do sound very good and the Hypex ones get very good reviews but are a lot more expensive

Thanks :o:D the wires are a mess !!

I had a Hypex amp (UG180HG). I don't think it was that much better than these L15D boards. ljm designs some pretty good stuff from what can be gleaned from opinions especially on sites like diyaudio.com. The linear PS made a positive difference especially after I changed the capacitors on the rectifier board.

Dont worry about the wiring I also do a lash up until the amp is runing stable then tidy up later :D
I also agree about the linear power supply much better and quieter than an SMPS unless you have a very good design and spend the money on it

Here is a couple of my Class A/B power amps after tidy up but before it was a rats nest :D

Sorry, only saw your post at present .. those are very tidy indeed :) and a good ref. point for my final build.

I still have mine in a temporary enclosure  but I am really enjoying the sound these little boards produce. Even in a "rat nest" configuration they are pretty amazing :D
