There was nothing wrong with my old lid but I saw this on eBay and had to have it.
It adds a real touch of class and beauty to a fantastic deck. It's made form Perspex, is 5mm thick and very heavy!
Cheaper than a genuine replacement and much nicer.
No cart as new DV20x2 being fitted on Saturday!

The new lid looks great. Cleaner lines than the original without the hump over the rear of the tone arm.

No good rolling your eyes at me sunshine. Lids need Mitred joint construction, they just do not look right butt joint.

Looks fine Andrew. I quite like its geometric finality. as you say it is very tidy on that deck, and a superb price too.

What, like the LP12 lid! Although not the same I think they look very similar.

I think the lid looks far more class than the original Technics lids. Just my opinion, not perpetuating a argument.
The new lid looks great. Cleaner lines than the original without the hump over the rear of the tone arm.
I always wondered why Technics didn't make the lids a wee bit taller and do away with the bulge
Is that what you tell the wife too, Nathan? :D
Marco.
Nah, I have more fun with her bulges :eyebrows:
Hi,
Just need to find a decent turntable to put it on 😉

Ah, so this is where this topic originated from?
I too think it looks better like this - I like the geometric form. Might not work if the perspex was thinner - the chunkyness of the edges looks good to me.

Gimp masks?
You know these two far too well Marco (they're not both in your cellar are they?).

Dunno, it's possible both are still being 'tormented' by Tabatha....! ;)
