View Full Version : Radio 3 - what are the chances.....?
OK - when the Tories get re-elected (with UKIP as their running buddies) and the Beeb finally gets privatised to appease the license fee whingers, what hope is there that Radio 3 will survive? For me it's the only station across the entire FM spectrum that has worthwhile content - and a decent enough signal - to bother recording; despite that, I reckon it'll be the first to go.
When Aunty does get flogged and carved up what would you save?

6 Music.... Hate R1 and R2.
R3 is great so that too.. But for me 6 Music is utterly superb.

Personally, I'd put Radio 1 back on Medium Wave only and re-allocate its frequencies to 6 Music!

I've got a tuner somewhere, I think. These days I'm more interested in tuna. It makes nice sarnies. :)

Yep... R1 is fokkin' crap. It just seems so tenuous even with it's (supposed) targeted listener base. And the DJ's are butter-brained social climbing arses.
I'd save the following in this order:
6Music, R3, R4, 5Live Sports Xtra (only for the F1 coverage though).

The ones they want to shut down are all the shitty local stations.
I don't have a TV so the BBC is free for me, but I only use R3 and R4 anyway.

I never listen to local radio... When I'm in the car it's either R3 or R4 but mostly a cd.
