HDMI to spdif coaxial audio splitter.

Can anyone recommend one of these that will extract up to 24/192? I am hoping to take the digital audio from a blu ray, DVD Audio and SACD player via the HDMI output to a Rega DAC. By the way, I would welcome the input of anyone who has done this, as to their success or otherwise( obviously not necessarily to a Rega DAC!) Thanks.

I've been down this road with my Opo Bluray player, which extracted DSD sacd audio from one of its HDMI outputs.
I bought an HDMI audio extractor for precisly the same reason as yourself.
Unfortunately there are some downsides to it..still a way to get hires audio out your player, but not as hires as you might want.
I found you cannot get 24/192 from a SPDIF connection, highest I got was 24/88 from SACD.
Bluray audio is locked, so you cant get any anywhere near 24/192.

That said...
24/88 is enough imo. Seriously.

Thanks, that is interesting. Any idea as to what was limiting the output to 88khz. There is a similar splitter to the one you used on Amazon but it only seems to use optical for its digital output.

it was frustrating for me as I knew my Oppo could pass 24/bit/192 stereo PCM via the HDMI
Could have been the extractor box itself?
Maybe my Oppo 103 had some kind of HDMI handshake protocol that the older players didn't which limited it?
Never got to the bottom of it, if you get it to work let me know eh? :)

Recommends this box, which extracts 24/192 (apparently) from an Oppo 105, but then again the specs for my extractor box said that too.

I bought a Neet HDMI audio extractor. This has an HDMI in and optical and coaxial out. I'm using coaxial. Using a Denon player with SACD the light on my Rega DAC is showing 88.2-96K. From an article I read, I think I'm getting 24bit 96khz but I cannot be sure because the player has no remote and so at the moment I cannot adjust its settings. Sound wise there appears little difference from CD at 16 bit 44.1khz but I have not yet done any careful comparison.
