Sourcing Aluminium Tube?

I'd be grateful if anyone help me find a supplier for 1/4" 22 SWG Aluminium Tube. I only want a 300mm length but all I can find is 4m lengths which, whilst cheap enough will be a nightmare for delivery.

Yes, but nothing with the right wall thickness,

the closest they have is 20 SWG which isn't ideal, could use if desperate but again is only available in 4m lengths.

Thanks for the lead Andr'e, I've found a supplier in Norfolk who supply in 300mm lengths just waiting to hear back.

Maybe I've been lucky but if you go to a small engineering place and ask if they have any offcuts in the size you need they will very often sell you a small piece(to them) for beer money.

I've nothing against using local engineering firms, I just feel it would be a wild goose chase. 1/4" 22 SWG doesn't seem to be used much so finding some locally would be pretty lucky, instead I think I'd spend a morning chasing leads and end up achieving nothing. I may just be being defeatist, I just don't really have the time to spare, I appreciate the suggestion though :).

I checked out your website earlier, I've not seen Sycamore used for cones before how do you rate it's audio properties? Also I know you make no mention of it but do you work with Ebony or Maple at all?

Ah time if you find any of that I'll have some :lol:

Sycamore is from the same family as Maple and is sometimes known as an English Maple , I can work in any wood I've got some Maple in stock but generally only order in Ebony as and when its needed due to its higher price.
