I suppose the biggest vote will be most Female artists where the mid range is purposley made to sound {lets say attractive to the lug holes} this is pretty much why people buy a lot of female solo LP's it makes their stereo's sound better :D

I think Solid Air by John Martyn sounds better on vinyl. There is actually more "air".
Despite being fairly supporting of digital and high res etc, let's face it a lot sounds better on vinyl - more stage depth and air in general, more "richness" even if it is might be artificial via noise etc, who cares..
I agree I think the noise acts as dither and adds the "air". What you need is a really shitty triode valve based output stage to give digital a decent chance:D
Half tongue in cheek half serious post there me hearties:)

I don't think you can beat the SQ from 12" singles ;)

I would add ''The Well'' by Jenny Warnes to your list, infact anything from her is tops.
though she's good, Katie Melua puts me to ZZzzzzz.........
Deadpan Tractor: Big Eyed Beans from Venus (12" single)
Don't think they lived long enough to make it to digital though
