View Full Version : whats new - latest post ?
Hi, just wondering why the forum software leads me to the first post in a thread when accessed via the "What's new" list. Wouldn't it be better to link to the latest / last / newest post in the thread ?
thank's

From memory it takes you to your first unread post within the thread, which is normal VB behaviour. If you're not logged in then it may not 'remember' what you've read, though I doubt many members visit without first logging in.

:D
But, my Q is still not answered...
scenario..
I'm browsing the "what's new" list (What's New tab on portal page)
I click on a topic which has tens of pages, say this one (http://theartofsound.net/forum/showthread.php?37480-Diehard-dinosaur-finally-succumbs-to-the-joys-of-FBA-enter-the-Raspberry-Pi-2!!)
My Q:
Why doesn't it take me to the latest post ? It systematically takes me to the first (oldest) post which I already have read ??
Thank's
I just tried it and it does not do that with me. took me to last post. do you have cookies disabled?
strange  yes, I have the cookies ... dunno what's going on ... maybe in the account settings then... will have a look... thank's
got it, it is in the general settings > show newest post first  hadn't thought of looking there.. thank's all.
