Everest clones

It seems that someone in Denmark is making clones of JBL D66000 /67000 Everest cabinets. haven't checked ot what 10.500 kr is in real money but would be a fun project if the logistics are feasible.
Suitable horns are being reproduced in Germany but drivers may be a problem and would probably need to be sourced from the ex pro market. Xovers would need to custom made though.

The Danish cabinet maker Hornslet closed its doors a few months ago. Amongst the items auctioned off afterwards were multiple part built cabinets for these and many other loudspeakers. I was surprised that JBL didn't buy these back & did wonder how difficult it would be to gather the required parts together to build a working set, ie crossovers & drivers. I decided it'd be quite involved not to mention expensive.

I looked at them too, but the word 'unobtainium' comes to mind for most of the required parts according to the guys on the Lansing Heritage forum!

The only real difficult parts are a pair of 476be drivers.

I was offered a pair for $5k a few years ago along with a pair of 035be and 045be's. With hindsight I probably should have bought them all.
