Afternoon :¬)

Is there anywhere in the UK (or EU) to buy decent linear PSUs?

Would prefer to order 'locally' than from China, a per this kind of thing...

I've had one of these for a few weeks now and it's excellent .

Hi Brian,

Have you checked what the actual voltage range is for your PSU?

I have those for my Pass Lab B1 that i make.
I have made 5 that i have sold and i think the regulated psu is better than a normal wall plug that i send together with the B1 for free.
The 24V regulated thay can buy at the same tim e if they like.
I also use one 12V for my tube RIAA.
Very good value.

To those who bought the one off eBay in the original post, the one from China, did you end up paying import duty etc? If so how much? Thanks...

None at all, and it's a great unit. Very well built.

I use mine to power my Stereo Coffee LDR pre-amp, and I have also used it in the past to power a Caiman II DAC. Thanks to Brian, I'll soon have 2 of these PSU's so the Caiman will get the benefit again.

Remember that these PSUs are adjustable chaps .:)

Thanks chaps, they do look to be good value. Only issue for me is the current capacity is a bit low to replace some of the SMPSes I'd like to, eg at 12v it's only 1.25A.

Oh really? How does one do that? Internally I suppose...

Yes , there's a variable potentiometer inside , 15 minute job max .

Thanks for the link to that thread, quite interesting... did you end up getting that 30W DC12V one you posted at the end of that thread? That wattage would be more useful for me. Just wondering if it was adjustable too... Having the voltage display makes adjusting quite easy I imagine.

Yes I have both . The other is out on loan at the moment , however they are adjusted in a very similar fashion. I didn't even need a meter , I just used the readout.
