Rega planet CD player ??

is this a good CD player ? A chap very local to me is selling it has been stored but is in excellent working condition he wants £80 for it ! Would it sound nice with my old nad 3020e amp and mission m30s speakers ? Cheers mike

Which Rega Planet? Clam shell? Planet 2000? etc. I like them, for £80.00 if in good working condition then go for it.

At that price you should jump on it , if not to your liking you could always pass it on for the same amount:)

just told me its a rega planet CD player also has kef cresta 2 speakers in vgc are they very good ? Thankyou for your help cheers mike

As has been suggested, the Rega has to be worth grabbing at that price. The speakers could be a sideways step though.

The rega CD is a superb piece of kit period. At this price just do it! I have thus and a Krell CD. I think the Rega is better

All the Planet (any model) needs is careful siting and a Klotz AC110 based interconnect should be used (the MC5000 would do as well ;)) as this was the cable Rega used until fairly recently in their 'Couple' interconnect. It's a good general player, parts are still available I think (if it's the original clamshell one) and £150 is more the price they go for I believe...
