Hi. I've got a Pioneer SA-1290 amp. On the back of the unit are two voltage selector switches. One is a sliding switch, the other is the round type where you turn it so the pointer lines up with the correct voltage. The round switch is broken - it has the front part missing. The missing part has the contacts which correspond to the contact points inside the switch. Inside there are 6 wires coming from the switch, some go to the primary side of the main transformer, some go straight to the main pcb. I've tried finding a replacement switch with no luck so I figured if I join the appropriate wires for 240V, it should work ok. The problem is I don't have a wiring diagram and testing with a multimeter doesn't help much without knowing which wires do what. If there's anybody who is familiar with the SA range of Pioneer amps or can tell me which wires should be connected for a 240V supply, maybe they could point me in the right direction. I'm sure I'm not the first person to have this problem and I guess the same switch was used for various Pioneer amps. Thanks.
