Anyone on AOS using one of these little tinkers or had experience of them? Om line reviews seem favourable and they seem good for the price.

Have one with some slight modifications to the caps. Really good for the price. It drives AKG K701's fairly well. Had a Cayin HA-1A prior to that so was a bit spoilt.
You can't go wrong with it for the price. Schitt's in the same price range are really good amps also. Are you buying new or secondhand?

Hi Tony. New or second hand, i'm not bothered just want something decent. I use Grado headphones. I appreciate the advice.

Hi Mark, I think they have revamped these models and there are mkiv's and beyond at this point. Don't thin the Grado's are as hard to drive as the AKG's so you should be fine but just check ohms rate of the Grado's the AKG's are 62ohms. Headfi would have a lot more views on how they compare with other models.
I heard this a few weeks ago at a meet up http://www.wooaudio.com/products/wa5.html with these headphones https://www.audeze.com/products/headphones/lcd-3
The guy had them on loan for a review for headfi(I think). They kinda cloud your judgement. I brought the Little dot to this get together and it will work fine and delivery really decent SQ with enough drive for basic money. You can pick them up for around £100 maybe less secondhand. Best of luck with them but keep an eye out for the schitt stuff as well.

I had one of these headphone amps about three years ago. It powered my HD650s very well and sounded rather nice. I did find the voltage I could feel if I happened to touch the phono sockets somewhat disconcerting.

Are there any Schitt dealers in the UK or is it all on line sales from the states?

I have had my little Dot MKIII for years now. I Run it with Mullard 8100's and Russian super tubes and it sounds wonderful.
I have driven Grado 325i's AKG Q701's and Ultrasone HFI 780's and Superex pro B's.
Tube rolling with this amp is becoming more expensive now, but it can sound much better with the tubes I recommended and little dot may still have these tubes in stock as an upgrade.
It is the best tube headphone amp for the $$$ in my opinion.
