Hi everyone,
Just a bit of background first.
I live in Brisbane, Queensland,Australia, but am currently doing a 4 month stint working in the Solomon Islands. Missing my system so much. :)
I have been a music lover all my life,and got the Hi Fi bug as a teen. I have owned various bits of equipment over the years, and currently have a love of vintage gear, turntables in particular. And want to revist valves and full range speakers again someday.
My current system is:
Turntable: Luxman PD350 (belt drive without the vacuum hold down system)
Tonearm: Rega RB300 modded by Audio Origami
Cartridge: Garrott Optim FGS MM
Phono Stage: Gold Aero DB 45 signature version
Amp: Jungson JA88D (Solid State)
CD Player: E.Sound E5
Speakers: Lenehan ML1 (bookshelf)
The Lenehan ML1's are a real revelation, a guy who has been making speakers for a few years now has just now started to get some rave reviews for this small but excellent speaker that he sells, but all his orders are via his website. Google it some time, they are brilliant imo, and great value for money.
I have just purchased a Technics SP10MKII table with an Alphason HR100S tonearm, and have an order in for a nice slate plinth to put the tt in.
This is a bit of a change of direction for me turntable wise, I want to see what all the fuss is about with this model, and once I get home in November I will set it up and do some comparisons to my Luxman.
I only have a pic of my tt at the moment, and will update pics at a later date.
