I am looking into a device to stream Spotify. I originally planned to use an Apple AirPort Express; controlled with the Spotify app on my iPad. I purchased one of these for about £40 on eBay but I'm getting a horrible clicking/popping noise every 2-3 minutes. I've put this down to a faulty optical output on the AirPort Express but after research have discovered the optical output on these is prone to jitter so it could possibly be this which is causing the clicking?

What is the best device for my requirements? I assume a Mac Mini would be ideal but are there any other cost effective solutions?

I do have a Pure i20 sat doing nothing, I could use this with an iTouch maybe?

My DAC is a Young M2Tech with upgraded power supply.

I use a Neet Airstream device like the one linked below to stream music from my Nexus tablet or iPhone 6 to an Onkyo system in my bedroom using an TOSlink optical digital cable and it works a treat for me... best £30 I've spent!

I had no notifications letting me know there had been activity on this thread so I've only just seen these replies. I ended up buying an Mac Mini with a SSHD. I've never heard of a Raspberry Pi.

Pete,

Are you able to stream Spotify using your Nexus?

Thanks,
