View Full Version : Heybrook hb-200 speakers with steel stands
Looking to sell these speakers of mine as i have the itch to try something different.
I have a thing for trying different speakers though i have been able to stick with my current amp
for coming on two years, a record for me. Yet to find speakers that have taken away the replace itch.
So going to sell these (i hope) and some mordaunt shorts to fund some different speakers.
They are covered in black wood veneer and are in very good condition. Except one of the grills has its fabric coming loose but could be replaced and One of the tweeters has a small dent.
I have the original box but not for the stands so collection in person is a must..
Unless if you just want the speakers which is not problem.
The stands are steel and can be used with pins or without. I rested the speakers on the stands with blutack.
The stands are approx 45cm high, 21cm wide and 23cm deep. The cross footprint is slightly larger 32cm x 37cm

man if i lived near you i wouldn't hesitate !! hear in Switzerland, it is almost impossible to find a good British speaker at a reasonable price
I visited Switzerland before, lovely country and the people were so friendly. i was on a train on the way to the airport and needed to change trains and the guard after checking tickets made an announcement on the train speakers(audiophile quality for sure,they had a great midrange so i could hear what he ate for breakfast ;) ), the man sitting in front of me told me the guard had told people that i needed to get off the train at a certain stop for a connecting train and to make sure i knew what stop to get off at, two guys then helped me get on the right connecting train. My memory of prices in Switzerland is that reasonable prices do not exist. :) Maybe i could look into delivery but i think it may not be worth it plus the risk to the speakers may mean they could arrive broken. of cause i could not send the stands as i only have the boxes for the speakers themselves.
I was living in Geneva for a while with my girlfriend who was Swiss/German. Enjoyed it and although an expensive place found some reasonable spots to drink and dine. train station bar was good. very clean and even the young street kids of the night were courteous
yep, it is a nice place. I live near Lausanne not far from the lake. A lot of outdoor activities around here (skiing, sailing, biking, etc.). Prices are actually not that bad if you know where to buy your goods (food, including meat and booze). But of course we are just 30 minutes from the French boarder (Divonne) which is practical some times. I was born in Zurich and lived there until I was about 17. Then by dad sent me to a boarding school in the canton of Vaud. After I finished the school I went back to Zurich but only for about 4 months. I couldn't stand it there anymore and came back to Lausanne where I have lived ever since.. I think it was a good decision as there where a lot of drugs in my neighbourhood in Zurich at the time and not half as many nice spots to sail, windsurf and ski.
Your lucky Grant that you got to live there Grant.
Is national service still required Rupert?
yes, I think it is. It's quite a unique system which works well IMHO as it integrates all classes of society into a militia type army. Very interesting slice through society really. I did mine but wouldn't want to repeat it :roll eyes:

Lausanne was where her parents lived I think. up in the hills in a converted farmhouse. yes we went over to France for food etc a lot... I was a tad lost tbh but she knew where she was agoing.
These are nice speakers, and if I was in market I would be into them I think

The speakers are lovely Grant,i bought them as i wanted to hear them and i liked the looks but i miss the floorstanding sound.
was using them with Nordost cable that i will put on here for sale when i have charged up the camera phone.
i was going to buy some Quads but ended up with some Q acoustic 1030i and they are great.
not as clear as the heys but a deeper sound,i am not really sure the typical sound. :)
I had a Yaqin amp before,i sold it as it was to big for my hifi stand and tv stand, regreted it as it was a lovely sound.
Can i ask Grant how many sockets your Belkin preav pf40 has as i have it's smaller brother and mine has 5 sockets, lovely thing it is.
i got it for just under a tenner on ebay a few years back.
i was surprised by how thick and long the mains lead on it was.

Think there is 9 on back and 1 on front if memory serves. It is a lot bigger than the one you have. twice the size with bigger reserves of current etc. I am now using a regenerator in front of the belkin and all is really nice now. I have a spare one out in the shed that I use on the system out there. Think I paid about 70 for one and swapped a pile of vinyl for the other. both were good prices.you have switched unswitched and always on sockets plus a high current for power amp.
i will have to google what a regenerator is as i have never heard of such a thing. :)

I'm going to scalford this sunday so can take with me so £60 for both the stands and speakers i think is pretty good. :)
