Rega or Rega?

Pronunciation question. This topic as unimportant as it is, has come up again between myself and old mate again.
I say Reeeeee ga, 're' as in re listed / refitted, Rega.
He says ray ga, as in ray gun. Rayga.
I have heard many people say it both ways, but which one correct? yes there is a beer bet between us on this. Any body worked for Rega on here?

I work with a few folks from 'darn saarf' and have been mistaken for a Welshman on a few occasions. One even though I was Irish!

I was working in Barcelona ages ago, we all spoke English , even though some of the crew were from Germany, some from Venezuela etc. The Germans though i was German... couldn't get my head round that one.
Some guys from Brighton thought i was from your neck of the woods. The 3 girls from Venezuela though i was Irish. Yet when i go back to Wales i am told " where's your accent gone butt, you sound English".
