Sad news, the guy lived a good life.
RIP.

I read many of his early books and some of the later ones. They were always very entertaining.

lets hope he didn't offend Death with his irreverence

Very sad. I wasn't a fan as such - not big into humour in fantasy - but he was a talented writer and it is sad he has passed. :(

I don't know him nor his books but I read good things about his work, so I ordered a copy of Good Omens (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Good-Omens-Neil-Gaiman/dp/0552159840/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1426265925&sr=8-2&keywords=Good+omens) for practising English and for fun of course. Too young to die though, whatever your talents are.

A tragic story and one of my favourite light humour authors, made even more personal to me as my father is suffering from the same dreadful illness. RIP Terry.

For anyone who hasn't yet dipped their toes into Terry's Discworld novels, I can recommend them as a form of light humoured escapism from the current worlds problems. Start with the "Colour of Magic" and if that doesn't raise a few chuckles here and there, you need therapy!
