I have used a Touch for a good few years now and tried a few linear power supplies with it. A big step up in performance comes with a 5v battery however.
The Anker one I use powers my Bushmaster 2 and the Touch. The combination is spectacular imho.
I don't think many Touch owners know what can be achieved and accept mediocre performance. Give it a go!

Im on the look out for one at the moment. But they seem to be selling for silly money on eBay.
Cant wait to team one up with my Caiman and anker battery, no more shoddy 12m toslink from my iMac :)

How often do you need to recharge your battery Jerry? I tried using my bushmaster 2 and touch together with my Anker 2nd gen and found battery drain very heavy even with the display off, plus the touch did not always see the battery.

Hi Barry,
I leave the battery on when I am listening to music-it doesn't affect quality. Regarding the Touch not seeing the battery-I think it is the other way around. The Touch turns off, then I press the button on the Anker and it powers up. I have only found this out recently, I thought the 5v supply had failed. It's mildly irritating that the Anker does not stay on continuously. I have to unplug it and plug it back in to power up the BM2 and then every so often press the button on the Anker. It's a small price to pay for the SQ.
Thanks Jerry, will give it another shot some time :)

Yep that's the one, it is annoying how the button needs pressing to wake it up, but it's easily accessible next to my dac so I just switch them both on at the same time :)

...cheers for the nod Jerry, one duly ordered :)
As a man with 3 touches in action (and one in reserve) this could prove expensive!!! ;)
