Bell-wire Cable Speaker cables

I needed to build something, so after having skimmed through this article at TNT (http://www.tnt-audio.com/clinica/ffrc_e.html), I put together two pairs of 2.5m speaker cable using standard bell wire (the stuff you get at any utility store). The wire is cheap copper cable, I guess about 0.8mm in diameter and with a PVC jacket. I used 7 strands as with some commercial cables. It was quite a hassle to get all the lengths right but after the second "ensemble" the process was quite easy. I guess, you just have to terminate one end then move to the other.

First impressions are pretty good.

I might have been tempted to weave the wires a la Kimber. They will of course sound soooooo much better if done that way:D
