It was a surprise not knowing about this forum until now!
Starting looking at older Hi-Fi equipment to match my enjoyment of early 80's music about 6 years ago.
Finally settled on early 80's Technics separates and importantly "Made in England" speakers of the same era.
Currently listening is via two sets of Mordaunt Short Pageant 2's and a set of Celestion Ditton 33's, each difficult to find over here unlike in GB from what I read. Such a wealth of information and discussion on the forum!

Welcome to the AoS from me, nothing wrong with vintage quality gear, my speakers are about 30 years old and my T/Table is from the 60's, still sounds great to me.

Reading lots in the 'Past Masters' area and learning more about vintage speakers. Hope to find out a bit more about speaker cabinet restoration. SomaFM Underground 80's pretty well covers my enjoyment of music from that era but equally enjoy such areas as Electronic.
